And You Were Concerned That AOL was Blocking Your Messages . . .

As readers of this blog are aware, I am an optimist on technologies such as spam filtering. However, this recent article shared with me by a colleague serves as a sobering reminder that even the most advanced spam filter technologies are imperfect at best. AOL has been blocking severe weather alerts from emergency management officials in Florida's Indian River County. This is a case where even the most relevant communications are unable to get through the filters.
